FSC's Village, single mothers with youth children receive, in addition to
housing, training in the life skills they lack in order to crate a
stable, nurturing environment for themselves and their children. in
the dormlike co-housing units and under the direction of a full time
resident project manager, women learn how to "do life". They
receive job training and assistance in finding and maintaining adequate
employment. Upon completion of the first phase of the program, residents
have the opportunity to move into self sufficiency apartments and
eventually home ownership, all on the same Midvale campus
- 2 co-housing units (private sleeping and sitting room sapces for
mother and her children with shared common areas, enriched by such
supportive services as job skills training, life skills, parenting
education and access to community resources)
- Self sufficiency rental town homes or cottages
- CROWN (rent-to-own) twin homes
