A Note About Safety & Training
Because we work with a vulnerable population, some volunteer roles—especially those working directly with children—require additional screening, training, and a minimum time commitment. Details are shared with each opportunity.

Volunteer opportunities
A few important things to know:
Child-facing volunteer roles require a background check and a minimum commitment of 25 hours
Volunteers are never left alone with a child under any circumstances
We do not accept court-ordered community service volunteers
Due to the vulnerable population we serve, volunteer placement depends on availability and program needs
We know these steps take planning. We appreciate your understanding as we work to keep families and children safe.
