Newly Renovated Homes Come to LifeStart

Hamlet Homes brings together a team of builders to help fight Homelessness

Fresh changes just in time for summer

This past Tuesday, the Family Support Center was joined by the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce in cutting the ribbon on two new renovated units at our residential support facility, LifeStart Village.

With the unwavering support and expertise of Hamlet Homes, HomeAid Utah, Tanner Glass, Sherwin Williams, and the Utah Professional Women in Building (PWB), LifeStart Village has been undergoing exciting changes this spring to prepare for new families to move in this June.

A special thanks to Hamlet Homes for having put together the entire renovation and bringing together like-minded organizations just as committed to helping those facing homelessness.

With the continued support of such charitable organizations as Hamlet Homes and HomeAid Utah, LifeStart Village can continue to provide housing and support for single-parent families in Salt Lake County recovering from homelessness and healing relationships.

Last year, LifeStart Village assisted 60 families to move into residential support and escape homelessness, drug dependency, or domestic abuse.

These 60 families comprise 103 children and 64 parents that were supported in both our Phase I and II residential treatment. LifeStart Village currently faces a wait list of more than 80 families-long, receiving year-round referrals from organizations as DCFS, the Road Home, and treatment centers.

Thanks to community partners like Hamlet Homes, HomeAid Utah Tanner Glass, Sherwin Williams, and the Utah Professional Women in Building (PWB), we can get families moved in and on the path to recovery much faster.

A special thanks to Hamlet Homes and their speakers Amanda Baylor, Natalie Berry, Don Adamson of HomeAid Utah, and the entire Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce.
